seems you mainly focus on the graphics. your games are beautiful but if they weren't and if they had the same game mechanics then it wouldn't be as fun or good. this is just a normal pong game, with minor (and unoriginal) changes. even the physics arent that good. i know that you have been working with actionscript for a short time and that this was made in a few days, at least make something that people would play even if the graphics were bad. now i have to admit, i cant make a game like this one so i congratulate you but, this is still just below average. i still enjoy your games but sometimes i have to point out some very negative stuff.

JackAstral responds:

Very good points. I completely agree I have to focus more on actual game play, rather than just graphics.

I'm still a bit of n00b at AS2, so hopefully as I get better, my games will improve as well.
Thanks for the great and constructive review! :)

fun game but it goes abit overboard with the whole "bullet hell" thing. i know bullet hell games are meant to be frustrating and hard but this doesnt just require you to dodge bullets but also go near them to get power ups. im not gonna lie, that is a great idea but it is not suitable for a game like this. also the 3d rendered backgrounds are low quality and it looks unprofessional. my computer is pretty good and i played on highest possible settings but it doesnt feel right.. i think that you should have stuck with the background style from the previous game.

Squize responds:

Thanks for taking the time to play and review the game man.

The graze mechanic is only really for extra lives, you don't need to do it to gain power-ups.

As to the backgrounds, I really like them ( Can I say that without sounding like a cock ? Oh well, too late :) ), but it was a large learning curve doing them as I've never touched 3D before.
With the backgrounds on the original I had a lot of little experiments floating around on my HD that I could use, originally with this one I wanted to do the same, a cool bit of eye-candy on each one, but coming up with 12 different 3D effects was just beyond me, so I opted for the one background.
I know it's not exactly Eve quality, but stage3D is like the release of a new gen console, you can get things working but no one has any clue how far we can push things, and it's going to be like that for a while yet.

Thanks again for taking the time to write up your thoughts.

err... i really enjoyed the first on but all the stuff that was added into this one is near the end. no way im starting over

sim-man responds:

That's not very good...

great game but major bugs. oh and how do you jab? i found a wall saying "a" is to jab but it doesnt work

DrNeroCF responds:

Well, let me know the bugs so I can fix them. Tap A to jab, hold to swing. Are your controls acting up?

this game is fun but i cant stand the cutscenes

EldritchAbomination responds:

Hans says: Then play action mode! or autoskip cutscenes once you beat the game :)

awesome

this is a very good game. lots to do and i can clearly see a ton of work went into it. good job

ClickShake responds:

So happy to hear the amount of effort we put into this comes through.

couldnt stand it

i usually like challenging games and medals but i wasn't interested in this one.
firstly because you can slide the ball off the course and quickly bring it on the track again. this would of been a good thing but since it requires you to do that to solve some levels then i can see that there is a path that can make you lose. so what i got from that is that the whole map is your course not just the path.
secondly this game is long. i like long games if they aren't repetitive. yes, this game is very repetitive. all you do is slide the ball around to the finish mark. i probably didn't get far enough to the part where there are power ups (if there is any) but if you put in more "stuff" in the earlier levels then i would have played it more.

overall, good job at making something that appeals to you but remember that it also has to appeal to everyone else.

krangGAMES responds:

Hey, thanks for the feedback man :) Yeah, the levels do start changing up pretty quick - you have to get past the first 5 levels, then more tiles start getting introduced. Should only take about a minute of gameplay, get you used to the controls.

And trust me, without the ability to control the ball in space, this game would be obscenely difficult - that's part of the mechanic. It's not just a marble homie, it's a Eunaborb ;)

great

this is so epic! who the fuck needs games with violence and swearing when you can play a relaxing and touching game.

very well done

Kajenx responds:

Lol, I just got the irony here. :3

needs a few adjustments

this is a very good game and a lot of work obviously went into it, well done. however, this needs a more understanding tutorial and maybe the research time would take less time.

Evil-Dog responds:

yeah uh? I think we did a bad job with tutorials

cool

a great remake of the original.

LilDwarf responds:

Thanks! :)
